Flat-Earth Theorists Plan to Travel to the 'Edge of the World'



A group of people who adhere to the flat earth theory are planning an expedition to Antarctica. They hope to reveal the very nature of the planet we live on.

As Forbes reports, flat-earthers show a keen interest in traveling across Antarctica. Its exact plan is not known, but they plan to discover the important totem of the flat-earth theory.

"What we have to do to stop the debate forever is to find answers in Antarctica," said Jay Decasby, a well-known flat-earth theorist.

"If we could get off the coast of Antarctica and then sail along the road around it, we would get a distance that proves that the outer edge of the earth is flat. That way, we can refute any arguments that support heliocentricity, ”he explained.

Basically, flat-earthers assume that our planet is flat in the form of a compact disk bounded by Antarctic ice (like being in a snow dome). According to them, the purpose of the ice wall is to prevent explorers from crossing it or so that humans do not fall into the ravine on the edge of the Earth.

Flat-Earth theorists also distrust the expeditions across Antarctica that some explorers have undertaken.

However, the Antarctic treaty signed in 1961 might make flat-Earth plans difficult to implement. The main objective of this international agreement is to deny claims of sovereignty in the Antarctic region.
