Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Smartwatch Specifications and Prices



Along with the launch of the Galaxy Note 20 series, Samsung also introduced its latest wearable device, the Galaxy Watch 3.

The smart watch is the successor to the first generation Galaxy Watch, which was released in 2018 and is equipped with a number of significant improvements.

However, there is one feature that is maintained, namely the rotating bezel feature which is arguably an iconic feature typical of Samsung.

With this feature, users can feel the sensation of rotating a physical frame around the screen to navigate the wearable device interface.

"Rotating bezels make it easier for users to navigate and control applications and music on the Galaxy Watch 3," said Samsung Brand Marketing, Yoonie Park, at the launch of the Galaxy Unpacked which was held online, Wednesday (5/8/2020).

Samsung's latest smart watch is now equipped with a blood oxygen meter (SpO2) and an electrocardiogram (ECG) feature that can be used to measure blood pressure.

"We are bringing new features to help users monitor health, including an electrocardiogram (ECG) feature to monitor blood pressure and a feature that can measure oxygen levels in the blood," added Yoonie.

There is also a feature for recording various sports activities, as well as a heart rate meter and fall detection sensor.

This fall detection feature can later send SOS messages to emergency contacts if the user falls or trips.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 comes in two sizes, namely 41 mm and 45 mm. In appearance, the Galaxy Watch 3 carries a premium design with classy colors that seem luxurious.

The screen is AMOLED type with a diagonal of 1.2 inches (41 mm) and 1.4 inches (45 mm) and a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels.

This device is powered by the Exynos 9110 chip with 1 GB RAM capacity and 8 GB internal memory, supported by a 247 mAh battery (for the 41 mm model) and 340 mAh (45mm).

Other features that complement this pitar watch are a GPS sensor, NFC, WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0, a waterproof feature with an IP68 resistance level, and supports up to 80,000 themes (watch faces) that can be changed.

The smart watch comes in three color variants, namely Mystic Bronze, Mystic Black, and Mystic White for stainless steel material and leather strap.

Meanwhile, for the titanium material that was first present in the Galaxy Watch series, there is only one color to choose from, namely Mystic Black, with a metal strap.

The Galaxy Watch 3 is priced at 449 US dollars (around Rp. 6.5 million, LTE version) and 399 US dollars (around Rp. 5.7 million, Bluetooth version) for the stainless steel variant.

For the titanium version, the price of the smart watch is set at US $ 479 (around Rp. 6.9 million, LTE version) and US $ 429 (around Rp. 6.2 million, Bluetooth version).
